 Introduction

    The D-Link DE-650 Adapter works with the PC that contains the Card
    Services. For which does not run card services software, the DE-650
    can work with the systems that have Intel PC Card controller or
    compatible controller.

    The ODI DOS driver, NDIS DOS driver, and NDIS OS/2 driver are the
    only network operating system drivers that support an On-Line
    Hot-Swap function. Hot-swap allows the card to be removed and
    re-inserted without reloading the driver.

    Please see the following TroubleShooting for driver installing
    smooth.

 Troubleshooting

    1. For the PC that installing EMM386.EXE in the CONFIG.SYS.
        Please make sure the memory range D000-D7FF is excluded.
        The Card Services need this range to allocate resource for
        adapter.

        Ex:
            DEVICE=C:\DOS\EMM386.EXE NOEMS X=D000-D7FFF

    2. For the PC that does not install Card Service.
        The DE-650 works with the INTEL PCMCIA (PCIC) or compatible
        controller. For other controllers, please call your PC dealer to
        find the card service package.

    3.  DCD16.EXE
        DCD16.EXE is an integrated version of the open adapter utility.

            /irq:h          (2-15,1,11)         -- IRQ number
            /iop:hhh        (100-3C0,20,300)    -- I/O base
            /slt:n       (0-?,1,0)              -- Slot number
            /?                                  -- Help message
            /hlp                                -- Help message
            /chk                                -- List PC Card
                                                   environment

    4. Adapter can not be enabled on SystemSoft Card Service Environment
        Remark the Card library file in the CARDID.INI and enable
        DE-650 by installing network driver directly. Installing the
        super driver will auto-detect, and set the related resources
        itselft such as I/O and IRQ.

           Ex:
           Modify CARDID.INI as follow.
                      :                               :
                      :                               :
              [Libraries]         Changed =>   [Libraries]
              CardLib=CARDID.CLB               ;CardLib=DLINK.CLB
                      :                               :
           Reboot PC
           Install DE-650 driver (ODI MLID driver example)
           Run Quick Netware Installation in D-Link's install program.
           Create a batch file that executes the following
              \ODI.DOS\LSL
              \ODI.DOS\DE65SODI
              \ODI.DOS\IPXODI
              \ODI.DOS\NETX (This file must be supplied by you, it is
                             possible to find it on another workstation)
           Finish the installation
