This option enables Apollo Pro/Apollo Giga to manage new port connections.
The Device Configuration window displays the following parameters:
Unit ID - Identifies the unit in the stack.
Unit Type - Displays the type of the unit inside the Apollo Pro/Apollo Giga.
Central Backbone Port - The port of the central unit to which the remote unit is connected. This field appears only for remote units.
Remote Backbone Port - The port of the remote unit. This field appears only for remote units.
Note: For Apollo Giga, None is always displayed in the Central Backbone Port and Remote Backbone Port fields.
Oper Status - The operating status of the unit:
on - The unit is operational.
join - The unit is joining the stackable device.
off - The unit is not operational.
Unit Status - The status of the unit:
dynamic - The unit is present, but not configured.
semi-static - The unit is present and configured, but not yet static.
static - The unit has been added to the device and is ready for connectivity.
invalid - The unit has been deleted from the Units Table.

to configure a new unit. The Device Configuration Insert window
opens; the parameters displayed here are the same as in the Device
Configuration window.
