On the Menu Bar click File.
On the File menu, click Update Configuration Device. The Update Device Software window is displayed.
In the File Name field, enter the Web server directory software file, or click Browse to manually locate the software file.
Select one of the following software types for updating:

. The update procedure begins. The update progress is illustrated
by the Progress Status incremental bar. The software update takes a few
minutes. When the update is complete, the Device
Reset Prompt window is displayed.
Click Reset to reset the device. The Resetting window is displayed.
The device is reset and the Reset Complete window prompt is displayed.
Click OK.
If the current Zoom View has not been updated since the software download, the NMS closes all open windows, and re-opens a refreshed Zoom View.
On the Menu Bar click File.

A warning is displayed stating that for Extended mode only L3 cards may be inserted in the device. If there are L2 cards, the system automatically loads Base mode.
Click OK.
