VLAN Table Insert

To insert a new entry in the VLAN Table:

1. On the Menu Bar click Device.

2. On the Device menu, point to VLAN.

3. On the VLAN menu, click VLAN Table. The VLAN Table window is displayed.

4. In the VLAN Table window, click  . The VLAN Table Insert window is displayed

5. The following fields are entered accordingly:

• Name — assign a name.

• Priority — Value between 0 and 7.

• Address Type — Select from of the following options:

• Default — Default address

• Reserve — User defined address

• Tag —  VLAN ID tag

• Device port — From the list displayed in the Available Ports table. The selected port, is moved to the Selected Ports table where the following parameters are displayed:

• VLAN Port Number —The selected port interface number.

• VLAN Port Type — Either static or dynamic.

• Tagging — The port is tagged.

• Forbidden Eggress Port — To configure the port to only receive packets and not to transmit packets.

6. To modify the status of a particular port, right-click on the port. A pop-up menu displays the following options:

• Enable Tagging

• Disable Tagging

• Forbid Port

• Static Port

• Remove Port from VLAN

Click the option to invoke it.

7.  Click     to apply the new data.
