The table contains the GVRP timer values for every bridge port. It is advised to use the default values if the number of GVRP-participating VLANs is less than 200.
GVRP operates more efficiently, with less probability of unwanted de-registrations, when default timer relationships are maintained.
Note: The GVRP registration must be controlled to ensure the integrity of STP.
It is recommended that when modifying the default timer values, the Leave value must be greater than three times the Join value and the Leave All value must be greater than the Leave value:
Leave Time >= 3 x Join
Leave All Time > Leave Time
The Timers Control window displays the following columns:
If Num — Lists the active port IfIndex numbers.
Join Time — Time lapse before GVRP is implemented after a Join time message is received.
Leave Time — Time lapse before GVRP is disabled after a Leave All Time message is sent. The Leave Time is activated by a Leave All Time message sent, and cancelled by the Join Time message received.
Leave All Time — Used to confirm the port within the VLAN. The time is the period between messages sent.
