Managing the Device

The device is managed through a Network management System (NMS) application which is accessed through a Graphic User Interface (GUI) called the Zoom View window. The Zoom View is a graphical image of the device and displays the actual device front panel. The actual device panel indications, such as the LEDs, are mirrored to the Zoom View and are seen by the operator.

The zoom view  may vary depending on the type of enclosure and the unit configuration. Illustrated below are cards displayed in various Zoom View configurations.

Zoom View Toolbar

The Zoom View has a toolbar displaying the following icons:

Refresh the Zoom View.

Access the Port Properties window.

Access the Global Parameters window.

View a selected Port Statistics.

View Element Statistics.

Access on-line Help.

Exit the Zoom View and the application.
