Both dynamic and automatic allocation is supported. The type of allocation mechanism used is determined by the Lease Time parameter.
The DHCP Address Range window displays the following parameters:
IP Address Interface — Displays the interface IP Address
IP Address From — This is a read-only field. It displays the first IP Address allocated in this row.
IP Address To — This is a read-only field, displaying the last IP Address allocated in this row.
Default Router — The IP default gateway Address.
Lease Time — This parameter is used to gain the maximum lease-time for a new IP address. Set this field to 0xffffffff for automatic allocation. For dynamic allocation set this field to a value lower than 4,294,967,294 (136 years). If the field Unlimited is checked, -1 appears automatically in the Lease Time Parameter.
Probe Enable — Enable or disable the automatic ICMP echo request probe of a used address before reallocation. This parameter is used to verify that the address is currently not in use by a client.
Total Addresses Number — This field displays the total number of available IP Addresses to choose from, including those currently in use.
Free Addresses Number — This field displays the number of available IP Addresses for new allocation.
DHCP Addresses Number — This field displays the number of IP Addresses currently being used by DHCP.
To add a DHCP Address Range Table entry:
Click . The DHCP Address Range Table Insert window is displayed.
Complete the table entry fields and click . The DHCP Address Range Table window is displayed.
Click . When the Status field displays “Finished!”, the entry is confirmed as created.
To edit a DHCP Address Range entry:
Click . The DHCP Address Range Table Edit window is displayed.
Edit the required table entry fields and click . The DHCP Address Range Table window is displayed.
Click . When the Status field displays “Finished!”, the fields are confirmed as modified.
To delete a DHCP Address Range entry:
Select the entry to delete.
Click .
Click . When the Status field displays “Finished!”, the entry is confirmed as deleted.
