Configuration File - Conversion

Use the Configuration File - Conversion window to translate the configuration file from BER format to ASCII format, edit the configuration file and then translate the file from ASCII format to BER format.

Note: Editing the configuration file in ASCII should be done only by authorized personnel familiar with the format, otherwise the procedure may result in configuration download errors.

To edit a configuration file:

1. Type or browse to the BER and ASCII files you want to edit.

2. Select the conversion direction   BER to ASCII.

3. Click . The Progress Status bar indicates the file translating procedure progress.

4. Wait until the conversion is complete.

5. Click the Edit ASCII File button  to modify the configuration file (or use a regular editor).

6. In the Configuration File - Conversion window, edit the ASCII configuration file and save the file.

7. Select the conversion direction ASCII to BER  to translate the ASCII file back to the BER format.

8. Click . The Progress Status bar indicates the file translating procedure progress.
