The IP Router Interface Parameters window displays the following details for all the NMS IP interfaces:
IP Address — Interface IP address.
Network Mask — Associated subnet mask.
If Num — Interface number. If the interface is a VLAN, the included interfaces are listed in the Interface number box in the IP Router Interface Parameters Insert window.
Fwd Broadcast — Indicates if the device forwards incoming broadcasts to this interface.
Broadcast Type — Fills the host ID in the broadcast address with ones or zeros.
ARP Server — When enabled, the system acts as an ARP requests relay, answering ARP requests to stations on different networks as though the device itself was the host being addressed.
From the IP Router Interface Parameters window new entries can be added or parameters can be edited.
On the Menu Bar click Router.
On the Router menu, point to IP.
On the IP menu, click Interface Parameters. The IP Router Interface Parameters window is displayed.
In the IP Router Interface Parameters window, click . The IP Router Interface Parameters Insert window is displayed.
Complete the fields as described above.
Click .
On the Menu Bar click Router.
On the Router menu, point to IP.
On the IP menu, click Interface Parameters. The IP Router Interface Parameters window is displayed.
In the IP Router Interface Parameters window, click . The IP Router Interface Parameters Edit window is displayed.
Complete the fields as described above.
Complete the following three windows:
OSPF Parameters
Click . The IP Router Interface Parameters Table window is displayed.
Click . When the Status field displays “Finished!”, the fields are confirmed as modified.
To delete an OSPF Area Table entry:
Select the entry to delete.
Click .
Click . When the Status field displays “Finished!”, the entry is confirmed as deleted.
