To add a Multicast Static Table entry:
On the Menu Bar click Bridge.
On the Bridge menu, point to Multicast.
On the Multicast menu, click Multicast Static Table. The Multicast Static Table window is displayed.
Click . The Multicast Static Table Insert window is displayed. The Multicast Static Table Insert window displays the following fields:
VLAN ID — VLAN identifier which uniquely identifies the VLAN to which a frame belongs and for which this entry contains information on Multicast group MAC addresses.
MAC Address — The destination MAC address in a frame to which this entry filtering information applies.
Receive Port —Based on the source ports for packets received, filtering is applied. All refers to all packets or a specific port is selected.
Status — Indicates the status of this entry . The different status are as follows:
Permanent — The entry is currently in use and will remain in use after a bridge reset.
Delete On Reset — The entry is currently in use until the next bridge reset.
Delete On Timeout — The entry is currently in use until it is aged out.
Static Ports — The set of ports to which frames received from a specific port and destined for a specific Multicast MAC address must always be forwarded, regardless of any dynamic information e.g. from IGMP Snooping. A port may not be added in this set if it is already a member of the set of ports in the Static Multicast Forbidden Egress Ports list.
Forbidden Ports — The set of ports to which frames received from a specific port and destined for a specific Multicast MAC address must not be forwarded, regardless of any dynamic information e.g. from IGMP Snooping. A port may not be added in this set if it is already a member of the set of ports in the Static Multicast Static Egress Ports list.
Complete the table entry fields and click . The Multicast Static Table window is displayed.
Click . When the Status field displays “Finished!”, the entry is confirmed as created.
