Installing D-Link DFE-660 Ethernet PC Card

This document contains installation notes, which is not included in the
DFE-660 Ethernet PC Card USER'S GUIDE or onscreen instructions,
for Windows 2000 users regarding DFE-660 Ethernet PC Card installation.

    Follow the steps to install the DFE-660 Ethernet PC Card's driver:

    1. Start your PC, then insert the DFE-660 Ethernet
       PC Card into an available PC Card slot in your PC .

    2. After starting Windows 2000, the PCI Ethernet Controller will be
       detected automatically, then the "Found New Hardware Wizard"
       window appears, and Windows displays the message

            "Intel 21143 Based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter"

    3. Insert the DFE-660 PC Card Installation diskette into drive A.

    4. Click the Next button in the Install Hardware Device Drives window.
       Windows 2000 will start to search floppy drive A for network driver,
       and Windows displays the message

            "D-Link DFE-660 Fast Ethernet PC Card Adapter"

    5. Click Next button,
       then the Windows 2000 starts to copy the DFE-660 Fast Ethernet PC Card
       driver to the user's hard disk.

    6. Click Finish button and Restart your computer.


