Solution for DM-560 and Telstra's 019... number.

1) Make sure you are doing this on a Win95/98/ME machine. (wasn't tested on Win2000 machine though);
2) Unzip the ZIP file attached here onto an empty directory, say, C:\Dlink\
3) Double click on C:\Dlink\FLASH.EXE to run it.
4) If asked, select MODEM.ATM file.
5) The flash program will continue upgrading your modem.
6) When all done, a message will display "Flash Programming Completed". OK
7) Go to Control Panel > System > Device Manager > Modem,
REMOVE all the modem installed, eg. DM-560 modem. OK/Close.
DO NOT RESTART your PC.
8) Go to Control Panel > Modem, double-check and make sure that there is
NO MORE modem installed there. If there is, REMOVE them. OK.
9) Goto Start > Programs > MS-DOS Prompt
Type in the followings (ignore the File Not Found mesg):
CD C:\WINDOWS\INF\
DEL MODEM.INF
DEL PC_CARD.INF
CD C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\
DEL MODEM.INF
DEL PC_CARD.INF

10) Shut Down (NOT Restart) your computer now.
11) Before power on, Unplug the DM-560 from your computer.
12) Power on your computer WITHOUT the DM-560 first.
13) Wait till the computer finishes booting up.
14) Plug in the DM-560 now.
15) Windows will find the New Hardware - "Standard PCMCIA Card Modem"
16) Next>
17) Select "Search for best driver..."
18) Next>
19) TICK only "Specify a location"
20) Click on "Browse..." button and browse to C:\Dlink\ (the directory which you unzip the files to)
OK, Next>
21) "PCMCIA 56kbps FAX+Modem" will be shown.
22) Next>
23) When all done, click "Finish".

To test the modem:
- Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel, double-click on Modems icon.
- You should see "PCMCIA 56kbps FAX+Modem" under the list.
- Click on "Diagnostics" tab on top.
- Select the COM port where the modem "PCMCIA 56kbps FAX+Modem" is installed (eg. COM3 or COM4)
- Click on "More Info..." button. Please wait while the modem is communicating to your PC.
- After approx. 5 sec, you should see a list of Command and Response.
- You should see the result code of  "ATI3 " as "FM560 VER 4.01 V.90"

Now, setting it up for your Telstra Dial-up:
- Go to My Computer > Dial-up Networking
- RIGHT-click on the Telstra icon (which you have already created for your Internet connection)
- Make sure you have selected "PCMCIA 56kbps FAX+Modem" under "Connect Using:" near the bottom.
- OK
- Now, try to dial up as per normal. You should be able to connect now.
